What’s the deal with the altitude?
This is a very important thing to be aware of, please read the following blog:
Adjusting to Altitude – Symptoms, Tips and Myths!
The elevation of Telluride is 8,750' and the Welcome Party and Wedding venues are even higher. This means there is 30% less oxygen in the air in Telluride than at sea level For those traveling from sea level, remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and "two to three drinks is more like having four to five drinks for low-altitude people." Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) should help minor symptoms, but please call the Telluride Medical Center, (970) 728-3848 if symptoms worsen. It is important not to ignore any of these symptoms.

What's the weather like?
Early September is a beautiful time in Telluride. You can occasionally have rain showers so we encourage you to bring appropriate jackets and footwear. As for the temps in early September, there is an average high of 70 and low of 45, so we suggest bringing warm layers for the early mornings and evenings.
Are kids invited?
As much as we love your little ones, the Wedding Day will be an adult-only celebration. Children are welcome at the Welcome Party, and local babysitting services are available at Telluride Sitters or Annie’s Nannies. We hope this advance notice means you’re able to let your hair down and celebrate with us on the big day!
