GETTING TO TELLURIDE
By Air
Montrose (MTJ), is the airport most travelers will choose to fly into. MTJ is the closest regional airport. The drive from MTJ to Telluride is about ninety minutes.
Telluride Airport (TEX), is located just outside the Town of Telluride. Limited flights are offered by Denver Air Connection daily.
Additional airport options include:
Grand Junction (GJT), two and a half hours
from Telluride.
Durango La Plata County (DRO), two hours and ten minutes from Telluride.
Cortez (CEZ), is one hour and forty-five minute drive. Boutique Air is a small airline that offers direct flights between Cortez and Denver.
Travel to and from Montrose Airport
There are two transportation companies that provide shuttle van service or private service.
Telluride Express: 970-728-6000 or
Mountain Limo: 970-728-9606. Both companies require reservations. There are also rental cars available from the Montrose Airport.
By Car
Driving from Denver, CO (DEN) is a beautiful and scenic adventure. Please note, it can take between six or seven hours to make this drive, so plan accordingly. Driving from Phoenix, AZ (PHX) is another option. The drive from Phoenix takes between seven to eight hours.
GETTING AROUND TOWN
Once you arrive, a car is not needed to get around town or for any wedding activities. Telluride and Mountain Village are accessible by walking and the complimentary Gondola.
Rental Cars
Rental Cars are available at the airport to accommodate travel to and from the airports, as well as around town. Keep in mind that Telluride and Mountain Village are accessible by walking and by the complimentary Gondola. Cars will not be necessary for wedding relat-d transportation. Tip: the rental car businesses in the airport close early. Confirm your appointment with the company prior to your arrival at the airport.
The Gondola
The Telluride / Mountain Village Gondola runs daily from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight (2 a.m. on Friday & Saturday) and there is no charge.

For those staying in Mountain Village, Dial-A-Ride operates 7 days a week and provides complimentary point-to-point transportation in Mountain Village to all residents and guests (tips are appreciated).
